JAX JONES

Jax Jones is a London-based DJ and producer whose sunny, uplifting house tracks incorporate a wide range of musical influences, from pop and R&B to hip-hop and funk. Born Timucin Fabian Kwong Wah Aluo in 1987, he grew up listening to rap, gospel, Afrobeat, and numerous other genres, and began making beats as a teenager. Jax broke through with "I Got U," a 2014 collaboration with Duke Dumont that hit number one on the U.K. charts. Jones released his debut solo single, "Yeah Yeah Yeah" in 2015, and the following year released the single "House Work," featuring British vocalist MNEK. With vocals from U.K. singer RAYE, Jones' next single in 2017, "You Don't Know Me" became his biggest hit to date, reaching the Top Ten on charts all around the world. He then released a string of hits featuring stars like Demi Lovato, Years & Years, and Tove Lo, collected on the 2019 album ‘Snacks’. More Top 40 U.K. singles followed with "Out Out" featuring Joel Corry, Charli XCX, and Saweetie and "Where Did You Go?" featuring MNEK. In 2021, Jax remixed "Prisoner" by Miley Cyrus and Dua Lipa, and released the four-song EP “Deep Joy”.

Jax’s latest collaboration in 2023 was with Calum Scott for "Whistle” which featured on the recent Love Island party night.

With most of his time now spent in the studio creating global hits, a festival DJ set by Jax Jones is a rare and beautiful thing and Far West Fest is delighted and honoured to welcome him to the main stage on Friday 18 August.
